ISOM 4 Day 2 - QTT (Qualifying Time Trial)

i didn't sleep again, but some of us did take turn sleeping and rebuilding the engine, installing new piston ring and new head gasket. we finished 6am and we tested the engine, everything goes fine! or is it? read on



got the sentul in time for the QTT, big thanks to PAG towing sponsorship (Mr. Posma Panggabean)




i then started the QTT session... after 3 lap, the car overheated!, i quickly turn off the engine and roll back into pit. when we open the engine bay... it was all too late... i was too angry and didn't even take any picture...

turned out that the radiator has cracks on the input flange causing the coolant to leaked out... basically the car ran 1-2 lap with no coolant...

we almost gave up.... coz we have no more engine, no more gasket and no more parts... but i get up and say to Mr.Indra, this will not end like this! its not done yet! lets open the engine again and see how much damage it it.... even if i have to kill the engine tomorrow, we HAVE to race!

this also mean that we started on the last position because of this mishap...

we quickly tow the car back to the workshop... this race we got 3 days Tent Hire sponsorship from Melly's Mum (thank you mum ) but unfortunately up to the 2nd day, we still cannot fully use the tent because we are always having problems... all this wouldn't have happened if the race still happened on the initial scheduled time (24-26th Sept 2011 instead of 9th-11th Sept 2011) but no point crying about that now... we just have to finish the car before the race tomorrow!
