Wilwood 6piston Brake upgrade... habbah habbah!

i finally had a chance to upload all this.... hope you all enjoy it.... here are the installation pictures of the wilwood brake upgrade...
take the stock caliper and rotor off:

drain the fluid (dont have to... but its time to flush mine... so... )

now the rear one.... first i need to strip the old red paint....

rice it up abit


rear done:


front 17 inch x 7.5inch, with +40 offset clearance.


didnt work on my 18inch x 7.5 with +42 offset, coz the spokes of the 18 went back in towards the inner lip

EXE TRACK DAY!
WINTON 3KM - 21st March 2006



The EXE trackday at winton was great!!! i did 1:51sec for the 3km track (long)...



here are the list of the racer on the day... the fastest driver on the day is steven in integra DC2, but he is using desmond's timing device so his time came up under desmond... the lancer is a GSR. own by cully5. was running out of brake pads, but still managed to get decent times...



Steven was showing me the 'line' and some new techniques...


here was me getting off the track... lol i did that more than 10 times...

i bought this love wheels and 17inch rims just for the track day.... and i sold my stock 17inch wheels... the reason is i need 17x7.5 to fit 225/45/17 semislick of bridgestone RE070... and my stock wheels are 17x6.5 (i still can use 225 but the sidewall will flex)

finally.... its back on the road...

after the last gearbox drama.... MERAH is back on the road and healthier then ever! ready for the trackday!!! woohoo...

Broken Gearbox.... New 3rd gear and upgrade the clutch and Flywheel

STAGE 2 begins.... too bad it started with breaking my gearbox.... but its about time to upgrade my clutch and flywheel...

after the heathcote, i went to cruise with ozmazda club, then join the mx-6 cruise and then cruise with EXE.... after series of abuse in a row with no maintenance, i learned a very valuable lesson... my gearbox start acting up.... and my car make lots and lots of weird noise... i also cannot stay on the 3rd gear for long... as soon as i put in third gear, it will either bounced back to neutral, or grinding with the 3rd gear...

then i found out that i broke:
1. 3rd gear hub
2. 3rd gear sychro
3. some of the gears on the 3rd gear
4. drive shaft booth
5. drive shaft bearings
6. CV joint
7. center shaft bearing
8. top right engine mount

thats what i get from doing 10 runs in the row at heathcote damn it.... oh well... its already happened... cant do much about it beside fixing it properly and try to drive smoothly (i was thinking to push it off the cliff and claim total loss thru RACV huahauhuahauhauha jk jk)


so i fixed everything one at the time...
1. 3rd gear hub
2. 3rd gear sychro
3. some of the gears on the 3rd gear
------ number 1, 2, 3 was done by protek. costed me $985 just for parts plus $600 labour.... its an expensive lesson for me...
4. drive shaft booth - covered by warranty
5. drive shaft bearings - covered by warranty
6. CV joint - covered by warranty
7. center shaft bearing - covered by warranty
8. top right engine mount - $270

then i also think, mind as well upgrade it. so i also did:
1. Heat Treatment (nitride) to all the gearbox parts - increase strength by 50%
2. Mazdaspeed HD Clutch
3. Exedy Flywheel 5kg
4. MT90 red line gearbox oil

hehehe, havent been writting anything on this bloody blog of mine... getting a little bit busy at the moment...

hmmm, the company i work for, Computer Associates, were doing rebranding and renaming the company. this was last monday, but surprisingly, monday morning went to my desk and found this big card board of a picture of the new name for CA (computer associates)... and the new name is...... CA! yes... CA rename become CA!?!?

what the hell??!??! CA rename become CA? mind as well not doing any rebranding at all... ok ok, i must admit the logo has changed... A BIT!... hehehe, but its all good, doesnt really bother me, but it does bother most of my workmate... lol, CA might be the 3rd biggest software company after Microsoft and Oracle, but i guess i just cant see how they manage to do the smallest change with such big fund... lol

oh, talking about work mate, one of my close friend at work ask me to do review on his behaviour...lol and personality... ok then i'll do it here...dont worry bro, i wont mention your name...

ok, where do i begin, first let me start with you brainy big head... lol... your smart thinking, wide range of knowledge, strong will to learn more and analysis skill always amuse me. i've seen and been amazed by God gifts but never seen anything like yours. but of course God is fair to us, as you also got weakness... you can be extremely lazy and cant be f*ck doing anything if you dont see the point and you are addicted to gadget and binary bits.

i like how you can express you feeling freely, being upfront, grumpy to almost anything and everthing, and sometimes you got too many things inside your head... im not telling you to underestimate on this life.... im just saying, relax abit bro... enjoy a little, before you know it, you'll be old and crumple... lol...

im agree with you about chasing your dream and setting your goals, as life is gonna be so F*Ckin boring without them, but dont forget to keep/set your feet on the ground. dream will always be dream if you dont put your heart into it....

about personality, its funny that how since we first met, i can almost see 70% of me in you... lol what? i know... its sounds gay... :P but few things that make you unique.

you are not a really good listener, coz when someone talking, you either cut them in or not with it... lol but thats what make me enjoy talking to you, coz i like a good debate.... when you think and agree about 'A' and then someone come forward and tell you that they agree about 'A', most of the time you will try to convince the about 'B'... its like a mind game kinda thing.

you like to tell people about the right things and to DO the right thing... but one thing you should remember, dont get pissed of disappointed when they dont listen, coz they hav their own responsibility to decide and consequences to face... you care too much about other... which is a good thing in one way but also not good in other way coz it gave you too much burden when things goes bad. i think you should be a priest rather than a IT professional huahahahhahaha. faithful and hardworking on what you focus on is your diamond.

congrats with the marriage this december and good luck on your transfer next year. i'll be here as i love melbourne... i'll stay here as long as i could... love the environment, the road, the lifestyle... but i hate the tax, the fines, the wheather...
